The basis of the international career was a solid academic education at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and an Erasmus year at the University of Warsaw. Already during his studies, the focus was on entrepreneurship and enterprise development, international management and strategic management.

The topic of the diploma thesis was “International market entry strategies – on the example of Austrian companies from the environmental technology sector into the Polish market.”
